The Ronald D. Beauford Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship has been established by the Beauford Family as a memorial to

Ronald D. Beauford

Principal of Anderson High School, 1982-1991.

            Principal Beauford envisioned, developed, and implemented many educational programs for the Austin Independent School District during his thirty-five-year career.  He brought the IB Diploma program to Anderson High School to provide students with an advanced international curriculum that, upon completion, would give IB Diploma students the opportunity to access higher education at the best colleges and universities in the world.  

From the first AHS IB Class of 1994 to the IB Class of 2022, over 2,200 Anderson students have benefitted from Principal Beauford's vision and determination to bring IB to Anderson HS.

            This generous annual scholarship is funded by the Beauford family for Anderson IB Diploma Candidates.
