Are you interested in joining the Anderson Campus Advisory Council (CAC)?
The mission of CACs is to promote excellence in education for all students through broad-based representation. CACs provide valuable input to principals, who ultimately have decision-making responsibility for their campuses. Campus Advisory Councils are committees of parents/caretakers, students, business and community representatives, teachers, principals, and other campus staff. The formation of CACs is required by state law (Texas Education Code, §11.251).
Specific functions of CACs include providing review and comment on:
Campus Educational Program
Campus Performance
Campus Improvement Plan
Campus Staff Development Plan
Campus-Level Waiver Requests to the State
Campus Budget
Membership is a 2-year commitment with a mandatory meeting schedule as follows.

______________________________ ______________________________ ________ CAC meetings are open to all Anderson community members. However, if you are a person who would like to speak during our CAC's Citizen(s) Communications* time, please send an email to both co-chairs Scott Plowman or co-chair Kristin Ashy with your name, email address and specific concern to be expressed before that month's meeting; all meetings are set and published here. There will be 15 minutes total dedicated to Citizen(s) Communication, and each speaker will have a two-minute time limit; thus, only seven speakers will be added to that portion of the agenda if needed. They will be honored in the order emailed. We also invite agenda suggestions and concerns and questions via email, which we as co-chairs will consider in our agenda setting meetings or may read during meetings on the behalf of community members.
Please contact either co-chair Scott Plowman or co-chair Kristin Ashy to request time on the agenda for citizens' communication or with any agenda suggestions or concerns.Meeting Agendas & Minutes
